Well build and designed. Classic Bach Strad - warm, well positioned sound. Fast, smooth valves - promissing years of reliable playing.

VB Strad 180ML37

Pros: Good Value for Money, Durable, High Quality
Having played on an average build trumpet for many years I thought it was time to upgrade. The Strad is considered by many as the industry standard and for good reason. Not to be swayed by this, I tried the competition first. The Yamaha Xeno's are good but start to show signs of weakness in the upper register and when blown loudly. The Strad blows freely with no faults across the entire range with excellent build and lacquer quality and comes in a good quality case too!

Cons: a mite heavy
Having played on a 'Strad' for numerous years I recently decided it was time to upgrade to a new horn, and bought the VB 180ML37 Bb trumpet.
It sounds full and bright in all ranges, and as I use a VB 3B mouthpiece it produces a big fat alround sound. A might heavy, but I can get used to that, for it is such a good instrument. All the quality and care of production from the experience of master crafts people over the years keeps this make at the top of the trumpet manufacturing tree in my opinion.

Pros: Good Value for Money, High Quality
I just got a great result on my grade 5 (distinction!!)so my teacher suggested it was time to get a better trumpet. I phoned up Normans, and the man there was very helpful and was a trumpet player aswell. He suggested this Bach Strad Trumpet.
I had heard that this would give me the orchestra sound that all the pro players have.
He suggested I showed the info to my teacher, who agreed that this was both good advice and the perfect trumpet for me!
Ordered and arrived the next day!
Grade 8 here I come! !!!
