This is an incredibly useful stand. It is light and compact to carry but very robustly built to support any number of books or manuscripts. Because of its tiltable desk I have also used it very successfully as a lectern for presentations. It is even strong and stable enough to hold a laptop for uses such as music notation applications or Powerpoint presentations.

This product arrived very quickly and in vg condition, except that a crucial tiny nut and bolt was missing. Normans contacted the Belgian supplier and problem has been fixed. It seems much more sturdy than the nickel stand we had already and vg value.

I've now bought 9 of the stands , for use by my church music group. The players all remark on how nice it is to have a sturdy , good lookng stand, with clean lines. They like the professinal looks and the ease with which they can hold, large , heavy music books. Standing , or sitting they are ideal, stack neatly away and give every confidence to the user. They wouldn't go back to the flimsy little things we had before.
Now we look more like professionals - just got to keep practising!
Must say buying them from Normans was a delight, great service on the phone , very helpful. Delivery and despatch confirmations , by email, inspire confidence . Highly recommend.
Won't hesitate to use them again - first class . G.S.

Cons: paint is easily scratched.
Replaced a similar stand but this one is far more substantially made.
The stand can be as sturdy as you like but unless the screws and bolts are good quality as these are; you'll be binning your stand in a year.
This one really does look like it'll last ages
